I was so excited to see a new post! You never disappoint. I love your take on delulu. It feels more grounded to me and less Anna Delvey, as you said, hahaha. Stepping into the unknown is terrifying, and doing it alone is another level. (I also have a noisy brain.) I try to remember that the worst that could happen is usually just a bruised ego. It's not nothing, but with time and a bucket of ice cream, I eventually recover and am ready to put myself through it all again because it's so worth it when it works out.
I love this take! Being able to support yourself through challenging and unfamiliar territory is so crucial. It's great when things work out the way you hope, but how you show for yourself when they don't is almost more important. In other words, it's easier to move forward through the rough times if you know you've got your own back. And what can't ice cream solve??
Ha, right there with you! I definitely thought certain aspects of this career would be easier and more lucrative than they have been. But I'm still plugging away!
"Oh wow, Jennifer, this puzzle is incredibly beautiful. It makes me long for everything to be good, cozy, and beautiful. Spring, sun, hey, bravo, wonderful! I really enjoy your posts, and thank you for enriching my life. I'm delighted that my cards, in the form of a calendar year, are accompanying you throughout the year. Thank you so much, dear Jennifer. I am so grateful to have met you and to have you as my friend."
Awww right back at you Tanja! It's always such a delight to receive mail from you. I really need to get my act in gear so I can return the favor and send delightful stuff to you and the others, too. This year! I will make it happen!
I know they sell all over, so hopefully soon! And eeBoo put this puzzle on the cover of their trade magazine, so hopefully that means it will show up in more stores.
They sell eeBoo products in a few stores around me. I need to tell them to order it and put a sign that says "local artist," haha.
I have just had an illumination thanks to you (and your friend Tanja)! Every year I think about making my own calendar, start planning it late and stop halfway through because it seems too much to come up with 12 or 13 ideas at once. But making a calendar out of last year's good illustrations - how come I didn't think of that!? Thank you so much!!!
Delulu is the solulu!! 🤣❤️
Hahaha so I hear!

Glad you like it! I hope it helps you put aside any doubts you might have so you have a successful and energizing year!
I was very much "going delulu" when I decided to be an author-illustrator haha. So far so good anyway. Love the puzzle! What a fun project.

Yes to TO IT ANYWAY!!! Love your attitude. Great newsletter as always. Huge congratulations on you first eboo! Looks awesome!
Thanks a bunch Juliana! I'm working on a lot this year. Last year was a year for preparing, and this is a year for DOING! 🤞
That's a lovely puzzle you've created! I love the cat illustration in the calender for May, the exaggerated proportions are great!
Aren't they? I love them, too! She's such a gem!
Wow, I need that puzzle!! I hope they sell it in Europe soon!
Btw, I love your theme of the year, sounds like a perfect way to stop all the negative thoughts!
Knowing me, it won't stop them, but I'm hoping it will give me the push to plow through despite them. :)
